Spam bots

Ok I dont get this I got a forum myself also from phpbb on which I didn't check since 2007 and it still has zero spam bot users while you seem to keep getting them. I can sent you the link if you want to compare the forums so you can try to find a way to get rid of the spam bots

well at least since the upgrade there's been less of them. Maybe if i stay on top of the updates i wont have so much trouble ...
i don't think a quick look at your version will help much, if there is something in setup it's probably going to be buried somewhere and i'd rather just put up with spam bots then waste a few hours trying to debug this mess. also, they never post anything anymore... it seems it would be quick to filter them out
